Wordplay

This year, I noticed that a lot of people have chosen a word to represent their theme for 2013. I thought this was a great idea, and being a bandwagonner, I decided to do this as well. Sadly, finding this out on New Year's Eve coupled with my incredible indecisiveness lead to me not being able to choose which word I wanted until six days into the year. I figured it still counts because we're only in the first week. So there.

Giving up on things tended to be my standard operating procedure in 2012. If something became too difficult or too intense I would just bail out on it. If I felt like I wasn't good at something or that other people were better at it, then I would just quit. No questions asked, just move on to the next.

I am very tired of not living up to my full potential. I would like for this to be the year where I follow through on all of the things I'm working toward. I don't want to quit in the middle of something or find something less difficult to achieve. I want to accomplish any and everything that I set my mind to.

So my word for 2013 is: PERSEVERANCE

I plan to keep on keeping on no matter how hard, overwhelming, or tiring my life gets.

Do you have a word for 2013?

  1. I like it.

My word for 2013 is SUCCESS.

It means different things to different people, but I know what it means to me--and that's all that matters.

Glad to see you posting (:

  2. Hello, sweet friend!

My word for 2013 is ENOUGH, both as in, "I am enough," and as in, "Enough of this tendency to give your past so much power over you!"

This is going to be our year...I just know it!

  3. I love it! Best of luck in your pursuit of perseverance.

My word would probably be Passion. I want to purse more things that I am passionate about this year, as opposed to only doing things because I am "supposed" to.
