Progress
Well...it's happened. I finished my draft somewhere in the midst of Thanksgiving weekend!!
I ended up with around 126k and I feel like most of those words will not make it to the final rose ceremony that is my completed manuscript.

I learned a lot of really huge lessons while writing. The first one is that I am NOT a pantser. I am a planner. A plotter. A person who needs a chart, diagram, sticky notes, a Powerpoint presentation or in desperate times a Rememberall to spell it all out for me. I got so lost when I was writing, I veered off in so many different directions, Magellan couldn't have helped me find my way back.
I'm sure my next project will be a vastly different experience.
Current Mood
I feel jubilant Carefree. Excited. Accomplished. Two years of untangling and I finally have something that I think I can turn into an actual book. Even if only my friends and family ever read it, I'm very proud of myself.

Goals for the Week
I'm going to read through the entire MS once, maybe twice.
Then I'll go through and start hacking it up and using index cards and post-it notes to really make myself crazy. So far, I've just revised a bit of the beginning, but I'm saving each version as I go, so I can always go back to the drawing board if necessary.

Inspiration
I knew that getting this thing drafted would just be the beginning. I'm not going to get distracted, nor will I let the success and/or failures of others affect my journey. Everyone's path is different, I just have to remember that I'm the only one who can walk down mine.
Favorite WiP Bit:
Right now, all of it is my favorite, probably because I feel like I can finally call it a manuscript instead of a WiP. Or maybe I'm just a weirdo and it's still a WiP. It's my crazy jumbled mess of words, drama, too many adverbs and probably way too many Friends references than should be allowed, but I'm loving it.
