The Photos have arrived!

Well there's just no excuse to go 17 days without blogging! I do have a good one though, I was actually out living life instead of thinking of what to blog about! Now I have loads of stuff to say and I'll probably blather on and on about it over the next few days, but if you're a regular follower...you know you love it! That being said, the last few weeks have been hectic for me, with work and wrapping up the princess' last weeks of school and just general life stuff that often gets in the way of my Internet time.

In the midst of everything I managed to read a few books, go to some movies, and knock a few things more off the 101 in 1001 list. The best thing that has happened is that I got the pictures in from our beach shoot and they are completely better than I could have hoped for! The Princess and I look amazing (my before mentioned heifer like qualities notwithstanding), and I love that our photographer caught all the random and wonderful moments between us. In about 10 years when the Princess becomes a teenager and begins to loathe me for simply breathing the same air as she does, I'm going to look back on the pictures and remember the wild haired, snaggletoothed 5 year old that was amused by everything I did, and looked at me as though I hung the moon.

Also, in Jordana's blog post she said some really wonderful and heart warming things about me and my little one, and I think that is the biggest reason why I love the pictures so much. She really seemed to get our whole dynamic and captured all of the nuances of our relationship. It was a truly awesome experience that was worth every dime! Now here are some of my favorites:

Hump Day Happenings

Just a few updates...nothing earth shattering since my life has been a flux of work and parenting, parenting and work over the last few weeks. Oh and I had dinner with a friend last Friday. That's about it.

The princess and I had our photo shoot with Jordana Hazel and it was awesome! She's so amazing and upbeat, she was so good with the princess, I was so grateful with how easy it all went. I haven't seen all of the pics yet, but the teasers she posted on her website are beautiful so I'm waiting somewhat impatiently to see the rest! I'll definitely post my faves once I get them!

Since there's nothing I love more than random reality drama, I must comment on the end of an era (at least for me). Lauren Conrad left "The Hills" for good last Sunday and I think she's bailing out at the right time. I'm going to stop watching it simply because even though I knew it was extremely fake, not having Lauren there will make it more so. Plus I'm not a fan of Kristen Cavallieri or her annoying voice, and I've decided to stop supporting anything that keeps Heidi and Spencer in the public eye.

In seeing my beautiful and very realistic photos from Jordana I came to an epiphany. I cannot turn 30 in 3 months looking like this. I admit that I'm adorable, but I'm also kind of a heifer too. So, I'm kicking up the healthy eating and exercise so I can be at my foxiest for my 30th in September. So be on the lookout for my weight loss updates, hopefully this blog can keep me honest and on the right track!

Lastly, I've decided to fully confess to my obsession with all things Twilight. I haven't mentioned it on my blog yet but figured it was about time since the countdown to New Moon has officially started. Normally I'm all about Edward or really about Robert Pattinson because well...hello! But the trailer made me go Team Jacob for about 5 minutes until I realized that he is 17 with no 18th birthday in the near and realistic future! Nevertheless, I can add him to list of eye candy available in the Twilight saga and simply appreciate his smoking hot body very nice but underage physique and wait patiently for February when he turns 18! I've watched the trailer way too many times to mention but wanted to post this video because it truly was my near exact reaction to seeing it. I cannot WAIT for November 20th. I think that's enough fan girl craziness for one post!
